Maple Grade Tutoring incorporates multi-sensory techniques based on the Orton-Gillingham method for teaching reading. These methods are also incorporated into lessons for teaching math. ALL students benefit from this type of instruction, however, the method is especially beneficial for students with language based disabilities like dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia.
Maple Grade Tutoring sessions typically take place 2-3 times per week in the student’s home. This frequency is required in order to facilitate the necessary multi-sensory techniques needed to make change in the brain’s function in reading (and math).
